Is there a contract for membership?
No, there is no contract. Our membership operates on a convenient month-to-month basis, offering flexibility for your family.
Do I need prior wrestling experience to join?
Not at all! Wrestling is for all skill levels. We welcome everyone from complete beginners to advanced wrestlers, providing coaching tailored to individual needs.
What if I can only attend practices occasionally?
No problem! We offer flexible drop-in rates for those who can't commit to a full monthly schedule. Come when you can, and enjoy the benefits of our training.
Can we take a break for other sports and return later?
Absolutely! We understand kids play multiple sports. We have a 'Vacation Status' option where you pay a small percentage of your monthly fees. When baseball, football, or soccer season ends, you can pick up your membership at the same rate you were previously on.
If we stop membership without vacation status, can we rejoin?
Of course! If your wrestler takes a break and wishes to return, we can easily set up your membership again. Please note that rates may vary upon re-enrollment.

Are private lessons available for my wrestler?
Yes! We encourage private lessons to enhance individual skills. Please reach out directly to one of our 806 coaches to discuss their availability and rates. You can find more information on our Our coaches page.
Can I earn community service hours by participating in outreach events?
Yes, you can! We value community involvement. Just make sure to inform one of our owners, Lesley or Ava, prior to the event, and they will help you with the necessary documentation for your community hours.
Is it mandatory to compete during the wrestling season?
No, competition is not mandatory. While we would love for you to compete, we understand that every wrestler progresses differently. Our focus is on ensuring you are 'MAT READY' at your own pace.
How does ordering, payment, and pickup for 806 Takedown Wrestling merchandise work?
We appreciate your support! Every merchandise purchase directly benefits our wrestlers and club. You have two convenient options: pick up your 806 merch directly at our gym in Lubbock, Texas, or have it shipped straight to your front door.
What are the membership fees, and do you offer financial assistance?
Our goal is to make wrestling affordable for everyone! We are committed to working with any family who truly 'WANTS to WRESTLE'. We are fortunate to partner with local businesses that sponsor wrestlers and their goals. Please come talk to us in person so we can explore options and play a part in helping your wrestler achieve their dreams.
